Monitoring and evaluation system for national development plan implementation

Background: The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) is the independent agency responsible for economic development and planning in the Philippines. In partnership with UNDP, it embarked on a project to develop a National Evaluation Portal  to help conduct evaluations and serve as a repository for government policies and materials, that will enable information sharing and evidence-based decision making. 

Solution: Bewsys designed and developed the National Evaluation Portal as a management information system which features monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management and learning resources/database. The portal was designed to ensure easy engagement with other evaluation practitioners and secure information sharing among agencies.

Impact: The National Evaluation Portal has made evaluation tools and studies accessible to the public, and improved the efficiency and accountability of government agencies. With this portal, the Philippines government can assess performance for improvement in weaker government agencies and enhance a community of practice to dialogue and exchange knowledge.
